Egyptian Cartouche and Shrinky Dinks

Students used Egyptian hieroglyphs to design a tiny cartouche with their name or initials. I think I had as much fun as they did watching them shrink in our polymer clay oven.

Medieval Art: Illuminated Manuscripts

These illuminated manuscripts were created on 8"x9" card stock and colored with markers, colored pencils and painted with gold and silver metallic paint.

Medieval Art: Stained Glass Windows


Inspiration: Gothic Stained Glass Windows

Created on "recycled" projector sheets. Students used reflective drawing techniques to draw their designs. This was traced onto the projector sheets and painted with air dry ceramic paint.


The works below were done on 12"x12" paper.



Artist Trading Cards

 For Valentine's Day my talented sixth graders made Artists Trading Cards. You can read more about them by 
clicking here. Each one is very unique, as are my students. They are created on 2 1/2"x3 1/2" card stock with color pencils, pens, markers and watercolors.
